Zoe wanted to start “adulting”. Whilst she was earning good income, her spending was completely out of control. There always seemed to be something for her to spend her money on, and whilst she had no real commitments, she recognised (kudos to her) that it was time to put plans into place to at least start saving for something

Utilising a combination of a simple software tool to monitor her spending and a regular savings plan, we aimed to assist Zoe to accumulate what would amount to a home deposit in five years. Whether she chooses to go down the path of home ownership or not remains to be seen, but instilling some savings habits now will stand her in good stead.

Our role in Zoe’s case is as much about holding her accountable to keep doing the things she needs to do to get the results she wants. Her investment needs are relatively simple, but by keeping her on track we look forward to the day when she feels she has achieved what we set out to do together.
