What we look like from the outside

What we look like on the inside

We call this stage in our advice process “Getting To Know Each Other”, after all we probably haven’t met before, or if we have, not in this context,  and our first meeting is all about deciding whether we can work together.

Our first meeting is to introduce ourselves to each other.  This will allow us to understand your goals, dreams, and objectives.  It’s as much about  finding out why you feel you need advice as anything else. We also want to know more about you, what you like and what you don’t, what bothers you and what you feel you have under control.

Also, the first meeting will allow you to understand how we do things here, and will give you a chance to work out whether you believe we can help you. We think it is really important that you feel comfortable with who you are dealing with before we go any further, so our job will be to give you whatever information and explanations you need before you decide to engage us.

What do I need to do?

There is no need to bring anything, our first meeting is just a preliminary chat, though we will try to get a picture of where you are at present. You are probably carrying this stuff around in your head anyway, and at this point near enough is good enough. We will get serious about the detail later.

Tell me more?

“Getting to Know Each Other” will normally take about an hour. At the end of the meeting we will both have a pretty good idea about whether we are going to work together. At the end of the meeting we will come to a decision, and we can move on to the next stage or we can agree to walk away and remain friends. There is no obligation.

Hmm sounds wonderful, but what will it cost me?

So let’s summarise:

  • Your initial appointment is all about meeting the adviser, getting to know each other, and exploring ways in which we may be able to help improve or manage your circumstances.
  • The good news is, your initial appointment is on us! That’s right, it’s a no obligations FREE appointment!
